FeaturesProof of Service

Valet trash proof of service you can verify

When a property manager asks whether service happened last night, Doorstep One operators have timestamped, geofence-verified proof from every doorstep—and configured recipients can already have the report by breakfast.

Proof is a chain, not a checkbox

A photo alone doesn't prove service — it has to be complete, verified, reviewed, and delivered. Doorstep One runs the whole chain, every night.

1

Photos captured — even offline

The native Porter App keeps working with no signal. Porters take one-tap photos at each stop, which queue safely on the device and sync automatically as soon as the porter reconnects. The platform knows how many photos to expect and catches anything that never arrives.

2

Geofence verification

Every service record is checked against the property’s geofence. Work logged from outside the fence is flagged automatically.

3

Problems caught automatically

Every hour, the system sweeps for missed pickups, missed routes, missing photos, geofence failures, and suspiciously fast completions — and puts them in one inbox before your property manager notices.

4

Supervisor review

Optionally gate the night’s work behind an approval queue. Reviewers approve, reject, or fix records before anything reaches a client report — with locking and a full audit history.

5

The morning report

A daily property report reaches its configured recipients with the service date, violation count, violations PDF, and before-service, after-service, and service-point photos. Delivered automatically by email on schedule.

You decide what gets proven

Every property runs differently. Doorstep One proves the service you define — units, yes, but also anything else on the property that matters.

Service points: any stop, not just doors

Compactors, trash chutes, recycling stations, dumpsters, pool and amenity areas, whole buildings or floors — or anything else with a custom label. Mark a service point as monitored and it's required every service night; a monitored point with no photo is flagged automatically.

One camera for a whole building

In a Photo Session, the porter's first shot opens the service record and every later shot attaches to it. Set up a building- or floor-level service point and porters document the whole area continuously — no picking individual units between photos.

Internal-only checkpoints

Ask for an arrival selfie — on site, on time, in uniform — as the first stage of the route. Internal-only service points are for your quality bar alone: they never appear to property managers or in their reports.

Condition statuses, not just photos

Attach a status list to any service point — Compactor: Full, Empty, Overflowing; Chute: Clear, Clogged, Door Broken. Porters answer in one tap, shared statuses flow into the morning report, and history keeps the labels exactly as recorded.

Then sequence the night your way — an arrival stage with the selfie and a compactor photo, the route itself, a departure photo before the porter leaves — with route stages in the order you define. Or keep it to a single stage and let porters work it their way.

Any night, reconstructed

Monitoring history means any past service day can be reconstructed exactly as it happened — which units were monitored, what was collected, what was photographed, and who reviewed it. When a dispute surfaces weeks later, the evidence is still there.

  • Timestamped service records for every monitored unit
  • Org-wide audit trail on every change
  • On-demand reports for any date range
  • Shareable report links for property managers

Evidence that survives the real world

Trash night happens in concrete breezeways and basement trash rooms with no signal. Photos queue on the device, upload in the background — even after the app closes — and the platform reconciles every photo it was promised.

  • Offline-first porter app with automatic sync
  • Background photo uploads that survive app closes
  • Missing photos caught automatically, stop by stop
  • Idempotent sync — retries never duplicate records
